Every year I resolve to keep up with what's going on around the world. But I always look to Ram or Facebook to keep me in the loop. Very bad. Very bad, indeed.
Why the resistance? I just can't handle listening to one more robbery, murder or rape story. That's all that ever seems to make the "news." It makes me very sad and personally, I just don't want those thoughts floating around in my head. I already don't want Riya to grow up!
All the tension going on in Iraq right now makes it hard to stay in la la land. Normally, I would be able to rest a little easier by telling myself this is an unfortunate situation but it is happening a thousand miles away. But I can't really say that now, can I?
The Middle East is definitely a region that makes me cautious. It's so unstable and I get so nervous when Ram travels for work. Luckily his extended trip in Cairo is over and he's back home, safe with us.
Ramadan, the holy month for all Muslims, is fast approaching. I wonder how this will affect the state of the war. Why can't we all just get along???
