I only wanted to observe so I can get a better understanding of this game of skill and strategy. After all, I haven't used my "brain" for awhile now:) But these ladies weren't having it. So the newbies got paired up with a skilled player. After 2 rounds with my great mentor, I was on my own. I managed to get through the 3rd round just barely losing to my friend Jillian. It was such a fun way to spend our Friday afternoon. (The mimosa didn't hurt either) I'm totally addicted now and really want my own set. Any of my wonderful friends want to spend $200 and buy me one??? Can't wait for next Friday to play again. Jill, you better watch out this time :)
Hehe, I totally had beginners luck on Friday! I'm probably going to look like a fool next week. So much fun, though! And I have added a mahjong set to my Christmas list :-)
